while talking with a friend yesterday, i was inspired as he shared that his favorite season is:
the beginning
i thought this was such a neat thing to say and as i though about it more and more, i realized i quite agree with him. i also realized that it can go along with many other things in life.
the beginning of school is tomorrow. tomorrow? already? yes, tomorrow. wow, i can't believe that the last year and then some has come and gone so quickly. as i thought about this the other day i came to the conclusion that, once again, despite life throwing twists and turns that are all but expected, life truly does end up even better than you could have imagined it. i am so blessed.
the beginning of the week is tomorrow. the beginning of the week always feels great. i know, i know, the saying about 'mondays', but in all reality, newness in any way is just refreshing.
just like the new year is great.
one thing that i just now thought of too, is that even if it isn't the beginning of something, like i've previously talked about, you can truly make new beginnings all the time. and that is a wonderful feeling.
this past week i've created my own new beginning and i literally feel like a new, improved version of myself. i finally feel that i am accomplishing the goals that i've always wanted to and to see my efforts and the amazing consequences from them is just astounding.
in all reality, we cannot have our own 'new beginnings' without the Atonement of the Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ. He is the one who made it possible to become new. To change. To become something better than we were yesterday. To see a glimpse of our eternal potential. I love those moments where you feel this fire ignite within you, but it doesn't startle you or overwhelm you - it calms you. Completely. And humbles you. You see for a brief moment the reality that all of your righteous dreams and desire truly will come. You can do hard things. You can become something great. With Him and His Father, you truly can do all things. And for that I am truly and forever grateful.
