"I've missed you," she spoke softly in his ear while they embraced. The words surprised her, even as she spoke them; it was as if she hadn't planned on feeling that way, nevertheless she let the words flow to him. The feeling of being around him and being with him drew the words right out of her mouth, almost taking her breath away with them. All the while he smiled a smile her eyes would never see and kept the few tears brimming in his eyes back, not letting them roll down his cheeks; he felt the same.
Standing there in silence, only the moon, stars and street lamps as their light, they held on. Unsure of what was keeping them from letting go, they both kept quiet, trying to figure it out in their minds.

The small clouds that had hovered in the sky all night soon built in size, covering the natural lighting that had provided a warm, intimate setting. But with the clouds came rain. Falling slowly, little drops of rain fell on the girl's hair creating an extra shimmer.
Letting his arms fall down, his hands meeting hers, he moved back a step or two and looked into those blue eyes. Or were they now green? Maybe they were both. Whichever they were, they had never been more bright than right then at that moment. Something seemed different, happier, better...right. Slowly he moved closer to her and embraced her again. It seemed colder with the rain drifting down and around them. He lightly pressed his cheek against hers and held her closer.
